Moonie Mia Marloo Art
Moonie Mia Marloo Art is led by Dion Harris, an Aboriginal artist and craftsman who has become known for creating handmade Kangaroo skin footballs that weave together culture, sport, and story. Every football is hand-stitched and crafted from start to finish, honouring traditional skills and practices passed through generations.
Working alongside him is his daughter, Kelsey Harris, who brings each football to life through her artwork. Kelsey’s designs reflect cultural stories and connections to Country, ensuring every piece is not only a football, but also a unique artwork with deep meaning.
Together, Dion and Kelsey have created works that have reached the hands of international music icon Ed Sheeran, former Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and several AFL clubs. Their footballs represent more than sport – they are symbols of culture, resilience, and pride in Aboriginal heritage.
Through Moonie Mia Marloo Art, Dion and Kelsey continue to share their culture in a powerful and authentic way, crafting every piece by hand and strengthening the bridge between art, tradition and community.
